Boys Basketball Win over Basalt

Senior, Kyden Simpson is looking for a teammate to pass the ball to. Simpson plays point guard for the varsity team. After the game against Basalt, Simpson said “we played good defense but offense could have been better”. Simpson is looking to continue his basketball career after high school at CMU, UNC or GCU. Senior, Reese Skinner is going up to make a layup in hopes to score 2 points for the Tigers. Skinner plays forward for the Tigers. Skinner looks forward to winning more games this season after the win against Basalt. “Come to the games!” said Skinner. (Alondra Sanchez)

 

Senior, Jack Mottram, point guard, is looking to throw the ball to his open teammates as they battled against Basalt. “I’m looking forward to playing again with my friends and winning some more games,” said Mottram. (Alondra Sanchez)

 

Senior, Dylan Chapman is getting ready to pass the ball into the Tigers offense. Chapman plays point guard for Junction. Chapman mentioned the tough 5A Denver teams the team has played so far this season. “We are confident that we will start climbing up in the rankings to get a good seed in the playoffs,” said Chapman. Junior, Jake Stanfield is shooting a free throw for the Tigers. Stanfield plays forward for the Tigers. “We came out pretty hot and we won by 15 [against Basalt], we moved the ball a lot and that is a big portion of how we won,” said Stanfield. (Alondra Sanchez)
