GJHS boys tennis going to state

Tigers qualify two singles players and four doubles teams

Cousins Jamison and Isaac Boyer team up as the No. 1 doubles team for GJHS boys tennis. The seniors are among 10 Tigers who qualified for the Class 4A state tournament.

Grand Junction High School is sending 10 boys tennis players to state.

GJHS is sending four doubles teams and two singles players to the Class 4A state tournament. The tournament is happening Oct. 12-14 at Pueblo City Park.

The singles players to qualify for Junction are both freshmen, No. 1 Nikolas Miller and No. 3 Peter Phillips.

The doubles teams are No. 1 Isaac and Jamison Boyer, No. 2 Nick Silzell and Jack Welling, No. 3 Gareth Keller and Joey Hanson, and No. 4 Finn Struwe and Jacob Smith.
