The school year has been exhilarating, but now Grand Junction High School students face their final hardship before summer.
Finals week will be the last week before students are released to their long-awaited summer. It will occur on Monday, May 19, through Wednesday, May 21.
“I have been preparing by studying as much as I can and turning in all my missing assignments. The process has been very stressful and hard for me to focus,” said Grand Junction High School junior Benjamin Landry.
Monday will have the usual early release schedule. Tuesday and Wednesday will be block days and end classes at 2:30 p.m. There will be extended finals time until 3:15 p.m. for those who may not have finished their tests on time.
“I’m staying organized so that I’m not stressed at the last minute and making sure that students have the resources they need to do well on the final test,” said GJHS science teacher Kim Murray.
Classes will be an hour and 20 minutes long with 10-minute passing periods. Good luck with finals.
