Students will be able to celebrate the end of the year this coming Friday with the Grand Junction High School Spring Fest.
GJHS will host its first-ever talent show on May 9th, 2025. Lily Hofman and other freshman student council members are in charge of putting on the talent show and other spring fest activities.
“We’re going to turn it into this big thing for the community for next year, and to make it into an annual thing that we do to try and bring the community together,” said Hoffman.
The Friday of Spring Fest will be a shorter day for students, with only 26-minute classes until the fest starts at 1:15 in the school commons. Everyone will have free admission to the festival. Students will not be forced to attend the festival, so if you want to go home, you will be allowed to.
The spring festival will have the following games and activities:
- Open gym
- Volleyball game outside for the seniors
- Inside a volleyball game for younger grades
- The library will be open for students to study in
