The winter spirit is in the air for the Grand Junction Tigers band.
Swingin’ Sweets 2024 will be held in the commons and cafeteria area on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m.
“Preparations are coming along nicely. Three jazz bands are playing this year, and they are all doing a great job so far. The major change is the venue and we are excited to host Swingin’ Sweets in the new commons,” said GJHS band director Isaac Lavadie.
Students and families can enjoy live music from our GJHS Jazz Band and an open floor to dance the night away. There will be a plethora of crafts and concession stands available to those who attend. These stands are also open for students to claim to sell their own crafts by reaching out to the event organizer, Holly Seeberger, whose email is included in the advertisement flyer.
“In addition to the free desserts at the event, Grand Junction Band parents will be offering to take polaroid photos for free. And if you need more than a couple cookies to fill you up, we will also be selling pizza,” said Seeberger.
The event will help fund the GJHS bands.
