Tigers go to state for Wrestling

Four GJHS students are going to state in Denver
Mercedes+Miller+is+the+only+female+GJHS+wrestling+student+going+to+state.+
Mercedes Miller is the only female GJHS wrestling student going to state.

A total of four GJHS wrestling students are going to state in 2024.

Three Grand Junction High School men’s wrestling students, seniors Murphy Harris (126 pounds), Tanner Roahrig (132) and Amadaeus Gurule-Valles (144) qualified.

Sophomore Mercedes Miller (105) is the only GJHS female wrestler going to state. Miller is part of the District 51 combined girls wrestling team known as the Phoenix that took first place in regionals.

The Colorado Wrestling State Championship Tournament will take place on Feb. 15-17 in the Ball Arena in Denver.
