The GJHS boys cross country team qualified for state for the first time in 11 years.

The Tigers finished fourth in the Class 4A regional field on Thursday, Oct. 19, at Lincoln Park. Battle Mountain was third, Summit second, and Eagle Valley finished in first.

“I think it’s great to be making history for the school,” said GJHS senior Albert Booth.

This is the first time since 2012 that the Tigers will be heading to state as a team, and both coaches and students are excited to make a mark in GJHS history.
