The finalized list for the 2025 Track and Field State Championships was posted May 12 with six athletes from Grand Junction High School.
Senior Mason Anderson qualified for the boys 100 meter dash and the high jump, senior Bryce Flanagan for boys 800 meter run, senior Mason Znamaenacek for boys 110 meter hurdles, junior Drew Marsh for boys 110 meter hurdles, freshman Kadynce Wells for girls 300 meter hurdles, and junior Hadyn Bunnell for girls shot put and discus throw.
The state meet is May 15-17 at Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood.
“They’re so hardworking, skilled, and amazing at what they do, and I look up to them and I hope they do great things at state,” said GJHS freshman Macy McConnell, a JV swing for the track team.
Updates with results will keep coming in the following days. Early on in the 4A boys, Niwot High School is in first place with 30 points. Cheyenne Mountain High School is second with 19 points. For 4A girls, Niwot High School holds down first place with 39 points and Air Academy High School follows with 23 points.
