Orange and black writes their way to awards

GJHS orange and black newspaper earned 19 CSMA awards

This is one of the awards that were given out to the Orange and Black Newspaper. Desmond Danso earned second place for sports action and captions.

The Colorado Student Media Association awards were given out to schools throughout Colorado.

19 of the awards went to members of the GJHS Orange and Black Newspaper.

Seniors Marie Calkins, Lila Mottram, Serenity Schmidt, and Junior Eli Schultz earned the second place podcast award.

Junior Ramona Ripple, Freya Corbin, and Calkins earned second place in lifestyle coverage.

Junior Lincoln McQuade and senior Abigail Young earned third place in Editorial Cartoon.

McQuade and freshman Woody Zehnder earned second place in Breaking Sports Coverage.

Calkins earned 7 of the awards
