The Orange & Black editors launch a new multimedia venture with the first episode of The OAB podcast

This is the first episode of the Orange & Black student newspaper podcast, called The OAB (Orange and Black) and linked here. In this episode, the three senior editors discuss among other things:

Introduce themselves
Talk about how they got involved in the O&B
Their favorite memories from their time on the O&B
What it’s really like on the student newspaper

The Orange & Black is a print and online news source for Grand Junction High School. It launched in 1918.

Marie Calkins, Editor in Chief

Marie Calkins is a senior at GJHS and the Editor in Chief of the Orange & Black student newspaper. She loves playing soccer, snowboarding, hiking, and music. She first joined the Orange & Black her sophomore year.

Lila Mottram, Co-Managing Editor

Lila Mottram is a senior at GJHS and a co-managing editor for the Orange and Black newspaper. This is her third year on the O&B team. Besides writing, she also enjoys baking, listening to music, and hiking. Lila is excited to write more articles and be more involved with the school.

Serenity Schmidt, Co-Managing Editor

Serenity is a senior and a co-managing editor for the GJHS Orange & Black. She has been on the O&B since her sophomore year. She is passionate about music and reading, and she also enjoys being outdoors. This year she hopes to help improve the O&B overall.
