Second year GJHS football coach Landon McKee is preparing the team for the first home game.

Tiger football will take the field in its first home game on Thursday night.

The GJHS Tiger spirit ramps up the closer the first home football game of the season gets. The 7 p.m. game will be played in Stocker Stadium against Glenwood Springs High School.

GJHS head coach Landon Mckee said, “We want to see a team that comes together and fights for each other for the common goal.”

The Tigers put up a total of 123 rushing yards and 149 receiving yards in last week’s 2022 season opening 42 to 22 loss to Pueblo West. GJHS quarterback Isaiah Biocic finished with a total of 106 yards.

While the Tiger football team works towards a win, the student section will be keeping the team spirit alive by dressing in the neon theme.

The next Tiger home game will be against Central on Friday, Sept. 9.
