Tiger softball loses to Palisade
The Grand Junction High School girls softball team lost to Palisade 19-0 on Thursday September 2 at Kronkright Sports Complex.
“I feel like sometimes we get down on ourselves, but I feel like we are making improvements as games go on,” said freshman catcher Kaylie Kellerby.
It was a tough loss for the team but they definitely had some great plays and stayed positive and cheerful in the dugout.
“I know we like, had some rough times and we all got down on each other, but at the end when we were having a talk we talked about it and I think that’s when we got closer,” said sophomore pitcher Jada Renova
The GJHS varsity is a young team with no seniors, one junior, two sophomores and nine freshmen. Which is good for their up and coming years and it allows for growth as a team.
The Tigers current record is 1-7. Their next home game is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Bergman Field.
