Special Olympics Send Off
The SPED students were not only sent away by the majority of the student body, but Mr. Lavadie’s marching band played the GJHS anthem to send them on their way.
GJHS students gather on the South Lawn to send off SPED students onto their fun-filled day of competition at the Special Olympics located in Stoker Stadium today. Accompanied by the marching band and cheering from the students the usual dismal mornings of second hour got a little brighter. SPED students were excited and grateful for all the support from students who even made signs to wish them off.
