Drama students get into character for Peter and the Starcatcher by rolling in the mud like true sea dogs!

Lights. Music. Action! The GJHS Theatre Department will be performing their production of Peter and The Starcatcher in November.

“We’ve been preparing for about two months,” Bryce Peck, senior said, “since about early – mid september.” Through extensive hours of rehearsal at school and home, memorizing lines and building props, the plays cast is both  “really excited, and really nervous” Peck said.

Peter and The Starcatcher is a prequel to Peter Pan, according to Audrey Newmiller, GJHS Theater Director. This play is about an orphan boy who lost everything, how he transitioned into peter pan, and the people he meets along the way. Peter Pan is a fictional character that is mischievous and never grows up.

“The play is a roller coaster with comedy parts and even dark parts,” Jack Norfolk, junior, said.

Showings for Peter and The Starcatcher will be located in the GJHS auditorium, Nov 8th through the 10th. Catch the show and also see a matinee at 1pm on Nov 10. Tickets are available to Students for $7 and Adults for $13. Presale tickets can be found for all showings at 970tix.com. Tickets are also available for $10 and $13 at the door.
