A Week of Spirit in Anticipation for the Homecoming Dance

Students and faculty are taking part in Spirit Week theme days with anticipation for homecoming saturday. Each day of Spirit Week (October 1-6) has its own theme, followed by a circus themed homecoming dance @ GJHS 7:00 to 10:30 P.M .

“I will be going to the dance,” Megan Lederman, sophomore said.

“But, I participate [in Spirit Week] on some days more than others.”

Participating in Spirit Week themes is welcomed, but NOT required. You can go as full out or as little as you want, as long as it is within dress code.

“Some of [the theme days] are really cool,” Isabel Moore, junior said, “But then some of them are really stupid.”

The student body can still take part in Spirit Week even if you don’t plan on going to the dance, and vice versa.

“I won’t be going to the dance, but I think [Spirit Week] is a lot of fun actually,” Lila Kurtz, junior said,“Some people just don’t like it though.”

Spirit Week is an excellent chance for students to show off their tiger pride! Although it is clear not every single student enjoys taking part, it may still be fun seeing others participating.
