Basketball senior: Aaron King
The start of a champion
“I started playing basketball when I got into middle school and I played it a lot because my friends did, and I just eventually fell in love with the game.”
A team to Look up to
“My favorite basketball team is the Oklahoma City Thunder. I started liking basketball in seventh grade, and I just looked up to Kevin durant and I started liking the team. So I was a little upset when He left, but I stuck with the team. Then they pulled out Russ Westbrook as an MVP”
Getting ready for a game
“I try not to think a lot about the game. like I’m in game focus, but I try not to stress about it too much. I listen to music. I just try to relax, but at the same time get pumped up and get ready for the game.”
A tense game to remember
“There’s not one specific memory from a game that’s my favorite, but the fruita vs. junction game last year that went into double overtime was an amazing game to watch, and to be a part of the team that won such a close rivalry game.”
Outside The court
“Basketball is definitely my favorite sport, but I just kinda do it for fun. Anything I’m looking forward to move on in farther in life is running. So I’m just doing this season to have fun, and having a good last senior season.”
Teaching the next generation
“ I want to go to college after high school and get my teaching degree and eventually teach. Along with teaching I want to be a high school coach either for basketball, cross country, or track.”
