Culture Beyond the Classroom

Comparative Religions is a social studies elective taught by Mr. Whiteford during 2nd and 6th period, but this is not a class you would find in your usual school. This class covers religions and beliefs that are all over the world.

“Anytime you get exposure to other cultures, beliefs, and philosophies it gives students a better view of the outside world, especially in a small town like this, it is good to get exposure” Mr. Whiteford, teacher, said.

The class shines light on the students own beliefs, and the others around them. “It helps me learn about other religions, and helps me gain more faith in my own, Luis DeLaTorre, sophomore, said.

It is a fun class that brings in a lot of guest speakers to even give evidence for what is being taught in the class.
