Scott Lang is a band teacher, writer, and motivational speaker. He came here to Grand Junction

to talk to the high school bands. About two hundred band students came to learn about better leadership and how to become a better band student.

“Scott Lang gave me the motivation to practice,” Raina Scott, sophomore, said. Scott uses humor to appeal to his younger audience. He encourages students to try harder and not give up.

“He makes you see the life lessons that band teaches you,” Aeris Lopez, junior, said.  Scott uses his past learning to help students become better and try even when it gets hard.
