Here at GJHS we have many sets of siblings with many different things that make them unique. What makes the Carmichael boys Trevor and Branden so different from the rest is that both boys have been playing hockey their whole lives. Trevor is a senior at here at GJHS and he has been playing his whole life practically. His dad coaches their 11 year old brother’s hockey team and as you can tell hockey is very important in his house hold.

“I play on the grizzlies in Glenwood Springs and I play varsity high school age hockey. It’s not associated with any school it’s just called high-school because of the age bracket and I am number 20,” Carmichael, senior, said.

Branden also plays on the same team as his older brother.

“Branden plays on the bantam A team in Glenwood so we never get to play together,” Carmichael, senior, said.

Although they are separated on the ice the passion they both have for the sport is still a strong bond between them. As all athletes, Trevor Carmichael has some goals he’d soon like to achieve.

“A goal I have is to play juniors hockey and possibly get a scholarship to play college hockey,” Carmichael, senior, said.

Now it’s not all about the oldest Carmichael brother here at GJHS the youngest has some insight he shared with us.

“I started when I was like 5 or 6 years old and I am now a freshman, so practically my whole life.” Carmichael, freshman, said.

Branden Carmichael also plays for a Glenwood team, but he is number 29. With his brother to help guide him, Branden has made some great achievements.

“My best achievement would have to be either winning a tournament to go to Michigan or winning league playoffs,” Carmichael, freshman, said. As his older brother Branden told us his goal is to get a scholarship for college as well. Brothers, team mates and friends the Carmichael boys are on the road to great things.
